June and July Fishing for Lake Buchanan

Obviously the weather is warming up and its starting to cool down the fishing. We are still catching striper on a regular basis but it's going to slow way down as the hot weather continues.

The catfish have been excellent the past two months. Just anchor in 50 to 60 feet of water and put your baits down about 35 to 40 feet. Use small baits and hooks to catch the most blues and channels.

The stripers are caught the same way only use 4-8 inch shad and put them down about 30 to 38 feet in the same water. The catfish will kill or steal the bait quite often but the striper will get some of them.

The picture is one morning's catch. We went in because we ran out of bait by 10 a.m.
